This week was a good one. We got even more peeks of spring, escaped to the misty mountains to one of my favorite local hikes, my husband and I went out for a rare and lovely date, and we did a whole lot of beautiful ordinary things. I’m floored that it’s March already – where has the time gone? See you next week, friends.
Day 175 | 365 … My messy haired love is better at grocery shopping that I am.
Day 176 | 365 … After school rendezvous 💙
Day 177 | 365 … Eager to sniff the first magnolias of the year. The Midwesterner in me is still, nearly ten years in, SO surprised at seeing flowers in February.
Day 178 | 365 … Portrait with my girl. ❤️ She turns two soon and when we ask her how old she is she yells, “tree! (three),” always with a huge grin on her face. A jokester like her papa already.
Day 179 | 365 … Today we adventured in the misty mountains to one of my favorite local hikes. We left in pure sunshine but soon the rain came, clouds enveloping us in the meadow. The girls rallied, eating lunch under a pine tree then finding owl pellets, snakes, and slugs with their daddy. We left absolutely soaked but so full of joy This was a day I’ll smile about when I’m old and gray. ❤️
Day 180 | 365 … A new park in the hood. She was just a tad dizzy after this 😅
Day 181 | 365 … Patching up Owl with her daddy. I can’t stop giggling at what they wrote: ‘4 y/o female owl, “tummy hurts” (too many mice?), flying okay, last BM 2 days ago.’ Can you tell her parents are in the medical field? 😂
