A decade ago I met an amazing nurse named Lynette. She made my transition into a new hospital, on night shift, a breeze. She always had a smile on her face regardless of what was going on (she still does, fyi). She had two little girls she seemed utterly in love with. I remember thinking, ‘I hope I have the same someday’ as I grew up with a sister and just felt like I’d simply adore having two girls of my own. Fast forward to now, and I do. And my girls are nearly the age her girls were when I met her! It’s all a bit crazy to think about. Needless to say, I was so pumped when Lynette asked me to photograph her oldest daughter Angelique for her senior photos (how did she become a senior?!). We had such a blast exploring, laughing, and just getting to know one another + I was even able to capture a few behind the scenes moments with her sis & mom which to be honest was emotional for me as this motherhood gig is so darn fleeting.
