If you’ve been following my photography journey at all, you know I love a good story & telling a bit about a person through the lens. Well I’ve got a special one for you. Jordan got a hold of me a few weeks back asking if I could take some maternity photos of her and her family, she’d be just shy of 38 weeks pregnant. We set up a date and met at a local market in town and the shoot turned to a photojournalistic style rather than posed smiling photos, as their sweet 2 year old Addie was more excited to look around then sit for the camera (what 2 year old wouldn’t be with fountains, twinkle lights, and flowers all around!?). We had a few pit stops for coffee, sweets, and train watching and I just tagged along camera in hand. A real day documented. Later that day, Jordan wrote me how glad she was she had photos done because she was in labor! The next morning I went to my other job (I’m a labor and delivery RN) and I just happened to be assigned to take care of this sweet family during the birth of their sweet second daughter Eleanor. What a full circle it was! I’m honored that I got document some of the last moments this family had together as a family of 3, and wish the best for their life together. Thank you and a giant congrats, Wolter family!
